Helen is the author of several gardening books, including her latest, Rooted in Nature — Cultivating Native Habitats for Pollinators. Her latest book was endorsed by Doug Tallamy, Nancy Lawson, Jenks Farmer, and Lauren Fruedenberger.

Her garden, the Bee Better Teaching Garden, won the City of Raleigh Sustainable Award for its use of native plants. The Garden is only open during workshops and by appointment.

Helen will go into detail on what is needed (and not needed) in creating a wildlife habitat at home or in your community.
